As far as reading goes, I love it but haven’t been doing it as much as I used to. For a really long time! Basically, since I had my first daughter almost eight years ago. It’s not necessarily that I didn’t have time, or don’t now, my problem is that when I do have time, it’s after they go to bed. At that point, I am sitting down for the first time that day and I pretty much fall asleep.
Vacation Reading List
While having an entire week of relaxation, I was able to indulge my love of reading again, and not fall asleep while doing it! The first book I read was called, The Alchemist by Paula Coelho. It was a perfect book because it was inspirational and motivating but also a story so it was a super easy and enjoyable read!
The second book was, The Rumor by Elin Hildebrand. This was definitely a beach read! It provided no inspiration or motivation, there was no thinking involved. This book was also an easy, quick read. I don’t usually read books like this because you don’t really come out of it learning anything but every once in awhile it is fun (especially on vacation)!
The third and final book is called, Extreme You by Sarah Robb O’Hagan. This book is a true self-improvement/Motivational book. I like books like these, but being completely honest, I have a hard time with them. They are not easy reads for me and quite honestly, I have not finished it yet. Despite this, I am glad I was able to get some reading in on my vacation.
I can’t remember the last time I read two and a half books in such a short period of time. Now that I have, I am determined to keep up reading on a regular basis even if it is for only for a short period each day!
